Casa Mar (Sea House) has become synonymous with great Tarpon and Snook
fishing. Tarpon are here by the thousands from January through May.
Tarpon begin their move inside the rivers in January and build up
to a peak during the spring months. In September and October, they
congregate in vast numbers just outside the river mouth in the Caribbean.
Snook also star at Casa Mar.
They are unpredictable actors, but usually swarm are here from January
until May and again in September and October. In addition to tarpon
and snook, anglers can enjoy sport with smaller gamesters such as
machaca, guapote, roncador, and mojarra.
Dining at Casa Mar is a real
treat and all food and beverage is included in the daily price.
The lodge has fantastic, home-cooked meals that utilizes freshly
caught fish and fruits and vegetables grown right at the lodge.
